Best Baby Shower Gifts Idea

Let's talk about what I believe to be the best gifts ideas for baby showers: short and sweet. I've been there I noticed a few things and I'd like to share my thoughts with you.

Baby Showers are so much fun in my opinion, but what gift do you give? You might not know the gender just yet may be you do. You're not sure what will be a good gift. All you know is you don't want to go to the party; eat, and not bring something. Well here are a few gifts I received that I think are the best gifts for a baby shower or even a gender reveal. Also somethings to help new mommy figure things out.

Idea One:

Bottles -(philips Avent)  and binkies (Avent)- Another gift idea for the any baby shower or gender reveal would be bottles - (Dr. BRown) and binkies (Dr. Brown) these can be gender neutral and in some cases it might help mom have a leg up on what kind of bottle baby will want to use. With my baby I tried almost every colic bottle there is. In the end my baby decided the breast was the best bet. The nipple of the bottle was not my babies cup of tea. Just one suck or just having the bottle in the mouth was as if there was something nasty in the mouth. However, we still had issues with colic, even with the breast. It turned out to be my diet! Let me know in the comment section if you want to hear more about that! Another thing that can be gender neutral would be the pacifier or binky you can never go wrong with a pacifier. Now personally I never gave my baby one until about 6 mo. of age; teeth were out and my baby decided to use them as a teether. Therefore I had many teether lol and worked great! This is why I consider this one of the best gift ideas.

Diapers and wipes!

You can never go wrong with this. This will be one of the biggest expenses the new parents will encounter so help your loved ones out! Bulk wipes and diapers of all sizes would be one of the best gift ideas; because God willing this baby will grow big and strong so all sizes for me were appreciated! Just find out what brand she wants for the baby.  Word of advice the more 4s the better! It seems they cover the most weight transition. I skipped 3s and went straight to 4.Anyways. That's my experience.

Clothes

Gender neutral color baby clothes. Hear me out. As a gift giver; one thing I noticed was that I got carried away with the tiny cloths but the baby will grow. I often heard friends say "I got so many cloths the baby didn't get to wear it all they grew too fast." So when you buy think about getting something for a different stage of growth as well. What If this is a big Chuncky Chunk baby maybe buy 3-6 mo. winter cloths. This way baby and mama can use all their gifts. I hope this is making sense. Let me give you an example, say the baby is born in the winter, then gift newborn baby clothes that are meant for winter but don't just think about new born but also 3-6 mo. and or instead 12 mo. winter cloths as well. Small baby, chunky baby, and older baby where baby growth is not as fast and more likely to wear cloths. SO more than likely sorry ladies who invited me to your reveals and baby showers… you might not have been able to even use my clothing gifts.

However, that brings me to the next point: you can always give safe gifts like newborn undershirts; we forgot all about them, along with the bigger clothes. That way mom can still be excited and anxious about the newborn and not so much worried about their baby getting big already… because you know hormones. Don't give your expecting momma anxiety okay lol. These undershirts are neutral in color. Everyone will need them, we made a baby crop top with ours until the umbilical cord came off; and then there's spit ups the base we then used for bibs and so you can’t have enough of them. When it comes to newborn undershirts I found the longsleeve with the added mitts very helpful! I would recommend white since later the baby can have the top layer of color enhanced due to the white underneath.

Baby socks in neutral colors. You can never have enough socks! I found that socks worked better that mitts to prevent the baby from scratching themselves.

Muslin Swaddle Receiving blanket. I had a wiggle worm as a first time mom and the smaller receiving blankets were not it! So I recommend for a gender reveal gift the muslin receiving blanket. In this case bigger is better because it'll be sure to fit. It's breathable and you can never have too many of them. They are multipurpose: swaddle option, privacy options if they breastfeed, or even a dry off towel once they past the previous phases. You could even use this as a canopy cover for the car seat. I’ve even thought about using one for cheese cloth lol. 

Lastly, I was sitting one day making my decorations for my reveal and I was thinking about what prize I could give for the guessing game. I decided to create custom tumblers and give one to my guests who guessed it right. You can change this and do a raffle between those who got it right. Now me saying this is a bit of a promotion for myself, my website, and business. But it’s a unique personalized gift in which you can design or we can help design and give to the soon to be mom for her gender reveal gift and to me personalized gifts are also a type of best gift not just for gender reveals but for any event.
