Car Seat Struggles: Chronicles of a new Mother

There's this thing that keeps me down,

not an embrace I very much appreciate.

Why oh why must I fall in this trap,

I want to be free,

free to watch,

free to play,

free to be here anyway,

with you.

Don't leave me here take me with you.

I need to see what is there too.

Ookay,

I see you're gone now this is bad,

what do I do,

oh what could I do without you.

Then I see things move about,

oh my what is that,

It's so mesmerizing,

It passed quickly,

And then appears again.

By now with all this observation,

Eyes heavy,

Heavy,

for a minute,

I'll close them,

Dream of this.

A warm embrace,

i'll be,

waiting patiently.
