Chronicles of a NEw Mother: Are you there?

I hold my precious baby so snug to sleep,

I like being that comfort ,

A safe haven you see,

At times when the sleep won't come upon those eyes,

I bluff...haha

Making my eyes heavy and shut,

Once in a while peeking, I do,

To see what my baby will do,

At times I catch peeks back at me on the left eye as if saying,

"Mommy are you there; hold me tight."

With time my bluff becomes my babies reality,

With a rocking motion mommy does ever so softly,

Mommy then doesn't want to let go,

oh no ,

I'd rather watch my beautiful baby,

oh yes,

Soak in all these little moments you see,

Sadly....

so so Sadly...

My baby will grow,

Need me no more,

Are you there... hear me,

Bitter... sweet.
