Chronicles of a NEw Mother: New Mom oh my

Weeks old,

I've been on this life long career for a few weeks,

Oh my,

My,

My ,

MY,

My baby has colic.... oh no impossible, they say,

Then what, what DOES my baby have,

They say oh my my my it must be the pains caused by the thing that is only gas,

Don't worry (whisper),

it's normal,

IT'S normal oh my I say,

Everything is normal from all I hear oh my oh my does my baby cry,

and cry ,

AND CRY,

The breaths get heavy ,

the face gets red,

the sweats come about ,

for hours and hours no end,

My baby looks to me expression I read "MOMMY GIVE ME RELIEF",

oh my oh my is all I can say

My baby,

IS in pain.

Don't eat this... don't eat that,

Hold it like this.... don't hold it like that,

Oh wait did I say not to eat that,

you need that indeed,

the baby needs it in fact.

Your baby feels the temperature you do, they say,

so just add a layer and it'll be fine, I'm sure, they say,

Keep that baby warm now,

place this and then that it'll be fine, I'm sure,

The baby sweats and fuss but,

oh no,

baby is fine, it's cold, it's fine.

oh my

Fresh diaper, belly full ,

A pair of serenated wide eyed baby looks ,

giving a smile ,

a reward ,

as if saying,

"good job mommy; i love you".

My baby... all mine.

I sway my baby back and forward ,

I walk up and down the hall,

Baby waving hands and feet entertaining mommy,

Those eyes they look at me so ,

As though a toddler at a window,

wanting candy.... if you know you know .
